Three-star defensive lineman Dami Sowunmi has officially committed to the University of Missouri football program. The announcement, first reported by Rivals/On3Missouri, gives the Tigers their 10th commitment in the 2027 recruiting class.
Sowunmi becomes the fourth defensive player to join Missouri’s growing class, teaming up with safeties Jabarri Lofton and Keiran Govan, along with linebacker Caleb Green.
The Brownsburg, Indiana native selected Missouri over several major programs, including Indiana, Michigan, Vanderbilt, Kansas, and Kansas State. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 260 pounds, Sowunmi emerged as a standout performer during the 2025 season at Brownsburg High School.

After recording 13 tackles the previous year, the defensive lineman enjoyed a breakout campaign with 36 tackles, five sacks, and one fumble recovery, drawing increased attention from college recruiters across the country.
