Apparently, Apple told dozens of workers that they would either have …

Some San Diego-based Apple workers apparently received instructions to move to Austin, Texas, or face revocation.

The 121-person Data Operations Annotations team, which specialises in artificial intelligence projects—specifically, enhancing and developing Apple’s Siri speech technology—includes the at-risk workers.

According to a Bloomberg source, Apple made the decision to combine the San Diego DOA team with the remaining Austin DOA staff members.

The source told the magazine, “Data Operations Annotations teams in the US together at our campus in Austin, where a majority of the team is already based.” “Everyone currently employed will have the opportunity to continue their role with Apple in Austin.”

The unidentified sources claim that workers will be given until the end of February to make a choice. If they choose not to move, they will be let go from the firm on April 26 and get four weeks of severance pay, plus one extra week for each year of service.

Those who decide to relocate will maintain their employment and get a $7,000 relocation compensation.

When the DOA group was first hired, they were handed moving boxes to pack up their stuff and informed that they would be relocating to a new Apple campus in the same city by the end of January. It was apparently just stated a few days ago that the transfer would be to Texas.

According to sources cited in the paper, most employees stationed in San Diego are hesitant to relocate.

Apple has been stricter with its in-office regulations, avoiding the enormous layoffs that have shook and plagued the IT industry in the last year.

According to reports, in March, the corporation ordered staff members to come to work three days a week. Management teams were allegedly using badge records to check attendance and threatened to fire staff members who failed to comply.

The Detroit Lions defeated Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams 24-23 on Sunday night to win a postseason game for the first time in thirty-two years thanks to a touchdown pass from Jared Goff and the completion of a game-winning first down against the club that let him loose.

The NFL’s longest-ever nine-game playoff losing run came to an end on January 5, 1992, when the Lions (13-5) defeated Dallas.

For the first time in team history, Detroit will host two playoff games at home when they face Tampa Bay or Philadelphia in the divisional round on Sunday.

Late in the fourth quarter, the Rams (10-8) had a chance to go ahead, but Detroit’s defence held strong. Los Angeles was forced out of field goal range by a holding penalty, and Stafford, the former quarterback for the Lions who was traded to the Rams and went on to win a Super Bowl, completed an incomplete pass on fourth down.

The Lions were able to run out the time on the first play after the two-minute warning when Goff connected Amon-Ra St. Brown for 11 yards. For 277 yards, Goff was 22 of 27.

With his hand bandaged and covered in blood for the most of the game, Stafford completed 25 of 36 passes for 367 yards and two touchdowns. Puka Nacua, a rookie who set a record, caught nine passes for 181 yards and a touchdown.
