SQUAD SHAKE-UP: South Carolina Land And Announce The Return Of Another Highly Experienced And Versatile Top- Notch Fans Favourite In Blockbuster

The experienced transfer wide receiver has reportedly chosen South Carolina as his destination for the 2026 season. Black already has familiarity with Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks’ staff, as he originally joined the program as a walk-on in 2022.

A native of Inman, South Carolina, Black was listed at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds during his time at UCF and is set to enter the final year of his college football eligibility.

Black redshirted during the 2022 season at South Carolina and also competed in indoor track for the Gamecocks that spring. Seeking more opportunities on the football field, he later transferred to the Division II level, enrolling at Limestone. The school ultimately closed following the conclusion of the Spring 2025 semester.

During his time at Limestone, Black showed steady improvement. As a redshirt freshman in 2023, he caught eight passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns. He then broke out in 2024, racking up 939 receiving yards and 11 scores.

That standout performance earned him a move back to the FBS ranks with UCF. While with the Knights, Black recorded 22 receptions for 273 yards and two touchdowns, setting the stage for his return to South Carolina.
