Republicans Claim Biden Administration’s “Enemies List” Unearthed from Arctic Frost Investigation

A recent revelation has sparked intense controversy, with Republicans accusing the Biden administration of maintaining an “enemies list” through the Arctic Frost investigation. According to documents released by the GOP-led House Judiciary Committee, over 160 Republicans, including prominent figures like former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon and Trump senior adviser Dan Scavino, were potentially under investigation.

The Arctic Frost probe, launched in April 2022, was initially presented as an investigation into legitimate alternative electors from the 2020 election. However, the newly released documents suggest the investigation’s scope was much broader, targeting conservative groups and Trump allies.

Allegations of Partisan Motives

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) have criticized the investigation, claiming it was a “fishing expedition” aimed at improperly investigating the Republican political apparatus. Grassley stated, “Arctic Frost was the vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and DOJ prosecutors could improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus.

Investigation’s Scope and Implications

The documents reveal that:

Over 160 Republicans were potentially investigated, including current Trump administration officials

More than 90 conservative groups*, including Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA nonprofit, were targeted

FBI agents in several field offices were utilized to conduct interviews and undertake other investigatory steps

Requests to surreptitiously record interview subjects were made

$16,600 was requested for travel to conduct interviews, serve subpoenas, and execute cellular device search warrants
