The fire began around 4:00 a.m. on Friday morning, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky visible from miles away. The local fire department received multiple emergency calls from concerned citizens who reported hearing loud popping sounds and seeing flickers of orange light near the restaurant. Authorities believe the fire started in the kitchen, though the exact cause is still under investigation. No injuries have been reported, as the restaurant was closed at the time, and the staff had left for the night.
Firefighters from several neighboring towns arrived at the scene shortly after the first 911 call, but the structure was already heavily engulfed by flames. Despite their swift response, the building’s wooden framework and older construction materials made it difficult to contain the fire. Local authorities shut down surrounding streets as a safety precaution, urging residents and tourists to stay clear of the area.
