A man was arrested after a shooting left one person injured, according to officers with the Kernersville Police Department.On Monday, around 7:36 a.m., officers said they responded to a report of shots fired in the 730 block of Piney Grove Road. When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the abdomen.
Officials said he was taken to a local medical center, and his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
The suspect, Alijah Duncan-McKay, 23, was taken into custody and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. Officials said Duncan-McKay was placed into the Forsyth County Detention Center, and his bond was set at $15,000.
Officials said the incident was isolated and there is no danger to the public.
