JUST IN : From the Studio to the Sidelines? Jon Gruden Hints at NFL Comeback, Vows Super Bowl Tattoo in Heartfelt Moment with Quinn Ewers

Jon Gruden Hints at NFL Comeback, Makes Bold Super Bowl Vow to Draft Prospect

After stepping down from his role as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021 following the discovery of discriminatory emails during an NFL investigation, Jon Gruden has since re-emerged in the media world. Last November, he joined Barstool Sports, where he’s been creating a variety of content.

One of Gruden’s signature series has returned in a new form. Formerly known as “Gruden’s QB Camp” during its ESPN days, the show is now titled “Gruden’s QB Class” at Barstool. In a recent episode, Gruden sat down with Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers, a top-rated recruit in both the 2021 and 2022 classes after reclassifying. Ewers had a standout college career, throwing for over 9,100 yards with 68 touchdowns and leading Texas to two conference championship appearances (winning one) and two College Football Playoff berths.

While discussing Ewers’ tattoos, Gruden made a surprising remark: “Man, I come back and coach you,” he said. “We win a Super Bowl… I’ll get something inked on me too, man.”

Though Gruden appears content in the media space, his name has recently resurfaced in NFL coaching rumors. According to A.J. Perez of Front Office Sports, Gruden was considered a top candidate for several coaching vacancies earlier this year. NFL Network also reported that multiple teams had expressed interest in hiring him.

Whether Gruden is seriously considering a return remains to be seen, but there’s no doubt that interest in bringing him back to the sidelines still exists around the league.
