HUGE BOOST!!! “K-State Just Got a Game-Changing Upgrade! Collin Klein Pulls Off Another Massive Transfer Deal At A Key Position!”

One of the biggest priorities for new Kansas State head coach Collin Klein during the current transfer portal window is rebuilding the defensive line. Since the end of the regular season, the Wildcats have seen several key defensive tackles and edge rushers depart, leaving a noticeable gap up front. Among those exits were Chiddi Obiazor and Tobi Osunsanmi, both of whom secured transfers to Indiana for the upcoming season.

Filling the void left by that level of production is no small task, but Kansas State made progress Tuesday by landing a commitment from Austin Ramsey, a defensive tackle transfer from Kentucky. Ramsey stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 303 pounds, giving him the prototypical size needed to anchor the interior of a defensive front.

Originally recruited as an offensive lineman, Ramsey switched to defense after his first season in college. As a redshirt freshman competing in the SEC last year, he recorded five tackles and one sack. His potential drew interest from programs such as Arkansas and Oklahoma, but the Wildcats ultimately won his commitment out of the portal.

With Ramsey added to the roster, Kansas State now has 10 incoming transfers lined up for next season, marking a significant step in reshaping the team under Klein’s leadership.
