GOOD NEWS: Buffalo Bills Bolster Offensive Line, Sign OG Kendrick Green and two other stars to One-Year Deal

Buffalo Bills Bolster Offensive Line, Sign OG Kendrick Green to One-Year Deal

The Buffalo Bills have made another move to strengthen their offensive line, signing offensive guard Kendrick Green to a one-year contract. The deal, which was announced by the team this morning, is aimed at providing depth and competition along the interior of the offensive line.

A Much-Needed Addition

The signing of Green comes as the Bills look to fortify their offensive line ahead of the 2025 season. Injuries and inconsistent play plagued the unit last season, making this an area of focus for Buffalo’s front office. Green, a former third-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021, has spent time with both the Steelers and Houston Texans, showcasing versatility at both guard and center.

“Kendrick brings toughness and experience to our offensive line,” Bills general manager Brandon Beane said in a statement. “We believe he can provide valuable depth and contribute in multiple ways.”

Green’s NFL Journey

After being drafted by Pittsburgh, Green was initially seen as a potential long-term starter at center. However, he struggled with consistency and was later moved to guard. In 2023, he was traded to the Texans, where he found some success before suffering an injury that cut his season short. Now fully healthy, Green is eager to prove himself in Buffalo.

“I’m excited for this new opportunity with the Bills,” Green said. “Buffalo has a great culture and a winning mentality, and I’m ready to give it my all.”

Impact on the Bills’ Offensive Line

Green is expected to compete for a starting job or serve as a key backup for the Bills’ interior line. With key starters like O’Cyrus Torrence and Connor McGovern already in place, Green’s addition gives Buffalo valuable flexibility in case of injuries or performance struggles.

The Bills’ offensive line played a critical role in protecting quarterback Josh Allen and establishing the run game last season. With the addition of Green, the unit gains another experienced lineman who can help solidify protection and maintain offensive efficiency.

What’s Next for Buffalo?

With free agency still ongoing, the Bills could continue to explore additional moves to strengthen their roster ahead of offseason workouts. The team remains focused on bolstering depth in multiple areas as they prepare for another playoff push in 2025.

Stay tuned for more updates as the Bills continue to build their roster for the upcoming season.
