Former Ravens CB Tre’Davious White Returns to Buffalo on One-Year Deal

Veteran cornerback Tre’Davious White is heading back to where his NFL career began. The former Baltimore Raven has signed a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills worth up to $6.8 million, the team confirmed Thursday night.

White was traded to the Ravens by the Los Angeles Rams at last year’s midseason deadline in exchange for a 2026 seventh-round pick. Though he arrived in Baltimore with little fanfare due to a history of major injuries, White became a valuable depth piece in the secondary. He logged meaningful snaps during the latter part of the regular season and into the playoffs, delivering solid coverage and avoiding costly breakdowns in the back end.

That stretch earned him another opportunity with the Bills, who originally drafted him in the first round back in 2017. White quickly rose to stardom early in his career, earning Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors during his first few seasons in Buffalo. However, a string of season-ending injuries in the early 2020s stalled his momentum and raised questions about his future in the league.

Though some speculated Baltimore might try to re-sign him to a team-friendly deal, that notion faded when the Ravens inked Chidobe Awuzie earlier this offseason, filling their veteran depth need at cornerback.

Now 30, White gets a chance at a fresh start in familiar territory, hoping to recapture his early-career form. He’ll face his most recent team next season when the Bills host the Ravens in what will be a high-stakes rematch of their divisional playoff clash — a game in which White played 33 snaps for Baltimore. This time, he’ll be wearing Bills blue once again.
