Buffalo Bills running back James Cook has been locked in a contract standoff with the team for several months, reportedly seeking a deal worth around $15 million per year—putting him among the top-paid backs in the league. The Bills, however, are either unwilling or unable to meet that number due to salary cap constraints. Despite the ongoing tension, there still appears to be hope for a resolution.
In a recent viral video with streamer N3ON, Cook gave fans a reason to stay optimistic. In the clip, he’s seen choosing NFL team logos from a table, selecting and then tearing apart the logos of AFC East rivals—the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins—before also ripping the Kansas City Chiefs logo for good measure. The moment suggests that, despite contract issues, Cook’s allegiance to Buffalo remains intact.

The Bills appear to be focused on the upcoming draft rather than the contract negotiations, with general manager Brandon Beane saying, “I don’t see us getting something done anytime soon… Just because we don’t get something done this year doesn’t mean we can’t get something done before he’s a free agent.”
Still, the video is a promising sign for fans hoping to see Cook continue as a centerpiece of the Bills offense.
