He is amazing. The week before, we saw him perform live in Pittsburgh, and he was just the one who took the initiative, inspiring others to do the same. However, it was absolutely amazing to see him on Monday; each time we see him, he grows better and better.
Just by looking at his stats, it’s clear that he and Micah Parsons are models of what people should want in an outside linebacker, defensive end, or edge rusher. He has recorded two solo tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack, four quarterback hits, and a fumble recovery.
They are vying for the highest-paid quarterback, so it makes natural that players like Nick Bosa are getting these massive contracts.
His speed off the line, a lot of times what is great about these players is when you’re scouting another team you’re scouting their snap count, so you’re listening and watching as part of your scouting report, and you can tell with him he’s just a student of the game because he gets off the ball so quickly, he has such a varied tool box in terms of swim, rip, club moves he can utilise.
Combined with his extreme persistence, ‘go after it and just be disruptive’ mentality, he possesses a remarkable ability to manipulate someone’s equilibrium to his advantage. He can even use your body against yourself.
It all actually stems back to that inaugural 49ers game. Though it took him a little while to get going, he never stopped trying to hit you in the teeth on every play, even when they were down. When a quarterback like him is coming at you every play—especially one who is younger—you know, first and foremost, that he will eventually get to you because the offensive line and defensive line struggle lasts the entire game.
