Phil Foden scored twice in the second half to help Manchester City come back from a goal down to upset Manchester United 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
Thanks to a spectacular long shot from Marcus Rashford and an incredible miss from Erling Haaland at a much closer range, United led at the break. The team led by Erik ten Hag had gained an unlikely lead in the Manchester derby. They tried to hold on, but it was impossible.

Foden found his own incredible strike and used a low finish to put City ahead. With a goal in stoppage time, Haaland broke United’s record of 143 Premier League games without a loss while his club was ahead at halftime.
City prevailed even though Ten Hag had a plan that worked for more than an hour and had a few near-miss accidents. Pep Guardiola’s team has now won 19 games in a row and is only one point behind league leaders Liverpool, whom they take on next Sunday (Sunday at 3.45pm on Sky Sports).

What transpired amid an exciting derby
It became evident why Ten Hag had claimed that, when at his best, Rashford might be untouchable after his early goal surprised City. Andre Onana sent a long ball to Bruno Fernandes, who was brought onside by Nathan Ake, and Rashford completed it.
United found a way to preserve the advantage, which they did for the rest of the first half despite constant City pressure on Onana’s goal, in a blistering response to his critics. 18 shots were taken by Guardiola’s team in the first half.
