The cowboys coach have just received a very brutal news now….

Now in session is the NFL scouting combine.

Jerry Jones took questions from reporters aboard his bus, as he does each year, on the forthcoming season, Dak Prescott’s future, alleged issues with Cowboys culHere are some highlights from Friday’s yearly bus interview that Jones had in Indianapolis with members of the media:ture, and other topics.

The “arrow is really up” for backup quarterback Trey Lance, according to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. He has “surpassed expectations both personally and professionally.” Lance and Cooper Rush will battle for the No. 2 spot behind Dak Prescott. “When we made the decision, he was exactly what we had hoped and planned.

Jerry Jones is aware of the belief held by Mike McCarthy during the final year of his contract: it’s Super Bowl or bust. He did, however, suggest that McCarthy might receive a contract renewal.

This is especially true given that Tolbert’s snap total increased this season while Gallup’s decreased, and it is reasonable to argue that Tolbert should receive more offensive snaps in the future.

At the NFL Scouting Combine on Friday, team owner Jerry Jones politely avoided discussing the situation with Gallup, who was allegedly the focus of a meeting with his agent on Thursday.

Jones stated, “At this time, we don’t have a choice that we would like to discuss. This is one that we will discuss with him. Without him, there would be nothing we would say. Before discussing our plans for him, we should take some time to sit down and go over certain things with him.

ESPN, meanwhile, said that the Cowboys’ decision to cut Gallup this offseason was “bold.
