Sunday Night Football between the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills will conclude the 2023 NFL regular season. With the winner taking home the division title and the second seed in the AFC playoff picture, tonight’s game is more significant than your average AFC East rivalry match. The losing team will be moved to the wild card spot.
Tight end Tyler Kroft, lineman Kion Smith, and cornerback Ethan Bonner are also out of the game.
Despite being on the inactive list, Miami quarterback Skylar Thompson is the backup quarterback. Although Thompson can suit up for the game, he can only play if Mike White, the backup quarterback, and starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa are both hurt.
The Bills will be without defensive end Kingsley Jonathan, lineman Alec Anderson, defensive tackle Linval Joseph, running back Latavius Murray, cornerback Kaiir Elam, and safety Damar Hamlin.
Miami won’t have some of their main starters available for tonight’s matchup. The absence of running back Raheem Mostert and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle will lessen the offense’s explosiveness. Xavien Howard, a cornerback on defence, will also not play tonight. Mostert also has a knee problem, while Waddle and Mostert are struggling with problems to their ankles. Howard will be out of commission due to a foot ailment.
Jevon Holland, a safety, was not included among the inactive players, which is good news for Miami. Although the persistent problems with both of his knees flared up again on Saturday, Holland was added to the injury report; still, he looks fit to play in the match.
After serving as the team’s defensive signal caller for four games on the injured reserve list, linebacker Jerome Baker will also return to action for Miami.
