SO SAD: the Pittsburgh Steelers are in very…….

The quarterback position is the main area of uncertainty for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare for the offseason. with a rough start to his career, Kenny Pickett is gearing up for his third season. Mason Rudolph is probably now positioned below him on the depth chart with Mitch Trubisky’s dismissal earlier this week.

But there seems to be some disagreement on whose quarterback is the starting quarterback right now, as per the

Fields, however, might be a target if the Steelers try to trade for a less expensive player. For the second consecutive year, the Chicago Bears are the top overall pick; however, this year’s pick comes from the Carolina Panthers. It seems likely that Chicago would choose Caleb Williams, which would allow Fields to be traded. Adam Schefter of ESPN recently stated that Tomlin is a “huge admirer” of the former Ohio State standout. That might show how committed he is to bringing him in, should the Steelers want to pursue that course.

Since Mitch Trubisky is available this offseason, the Cleveland Browns, who have a history of adding former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterbacks to their roster, may try to pick up another one.

Trubisky, a free agent now, wants to sign with a fourth NFL team so he may try to fight for a backup position away from the Steelers. Tony Grossi of ESPN Radio thinks the Browns might be that team.

Mitch Trubisky as a possible fallback,” stated Grossi. “To begin with, Trubisky was well-liked by the Andrew Berry and Paul DePodesta administration upon his release from the draft. There’s also the connection to Ken Dorsey. With Brian Daboll serving as the coordinator at the time, Trubisky moved from Chicago to Buffalo as the backup quarterback. The quarterback’s coach was Dorsey. I believe Trubisky will be Ken Dorsey’s nominee.
