February is a significant month in Upstate New York, featuring prominent performances by renowned artists such as Drake, Journey with Toto, and Jason Isbell. Concerts are scheduled across various Upstate cities, including Rochester, Buffalo, and Syracuse.
Journey, which features Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Arnel Pineda, Jason Derlatka, Deen Castronovo and Todd Jensen, recently celebrated 50 years of music including “Open Arms,” “Separate Ways,” “Faithfully” and “Don’t Stop Believin’.” Toto, which is nearing its own 50th anniversary, has released 14 albums with hits like “Africa,” “Hold the Line” and “Rosanna.
Drake is a Grammy-winning rapper behind hits like “God’s Plan,” “Hotline Bling,” “Started From the Bottom,” “Hold On We’re Going Home,” “In My Feelings,” “One Dance,” “Find Your Love,” and “Nice for What.” J. Cole is a fellow hip-hop star known for songs like “Work Out,” “Wet Dreamz,” “No Role Modelz,” “ATM,” “Middle Child” and collaborations with Lil Durk (“All My Life”), 21 Savage (“A Lot”), and Drake (“First Person Shooter”).
Isbell is a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter known for his work with The Drive-By Truckers and as a solo artist, most recently releasing the album “Weathervanes” in June. His songs include “Cover Me Up,” “If We Were Vampires,” “Alabama Pines,” “If It Takes a Lifetime” and “Traveling Alone.
