During Sunday night’s football game between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Giants, running back Damien Harris was rushed off the field by ambulance.
Josh Alle the quarterback, dropped Harris after he got the ball and he remained on the ground.
Harris was put onto what looked like a gurney as Bills personnel rushed onto the pitch.
Teammate Damar Hamlin, who suffered a cardiac collapse on the pitch earlier this year, observed from the sidelines and appeared distressed.
As he was hoisted into the ambulance and taken outside the stadium, Harris was seen giving the thumbs up.
The team’s page shared a message on the team’s X account (formerly Twitter), stating that Harris is out of the game due to a neck injury.
“Update on injuries: Damien Harris (neck) will miss the game. He can move his legs and limbs. The post stated, “Harris is being sent to the hospital for more tests.
The Giants were ahead 6-0 at the time of the incident, which occurred just before the second quarter ended.
Prior to the Super Bowl, the NFL had its annual Honours Awards. Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, had a dismal night as he only received one first-place vote and ended sixth in the MVP poll.
The true surprise, though, was that Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco defeated Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who lost two games to death on the field against the Cincinnati Bengals, in the Comeback Player of the Year category.
First up on Buffalo Rumblinks today is a discussion of Hamlin’s snub.
Security Not selected for Comeback Player of the Year is Damar Hamlin.
When Damar Hamlin suffered a sudden heart arrest during the first quarter of the Buffalo Bills’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals on January 2, 2023, the entire nation watched in terror. In order to revive him on the pitch, defibrillation and CPR were both required. The amazing, fast-thinking efforts of the medical personnel and training staff at the Bills saved his life. After spending several days in a Cincinnati hospital, Hamlin had to endure months of arduous rehabilitation before he could resume playing football.
It should have been enough for Hamlin to win Comeback Player of the Year simply for him to play one snap after passing away. Rather, the award went to Joe Flacco, who got off the sofa to lead the Cleveland Browns into the postseason.
