The FBI has detained Chance Comanche and charged him with murder, according to claims that surfaced on Sunday across a number of media sources. The G League club of the Sacramento Kings, the Stockton Kings, were Comanche’s most recent team; however, after his arrest, Stockton dismissed him on Friday. Stockton waived Comanche without even disclosing to the public the nature of the arrest.
After the lady’s remains were found, Comanche and his girlfriend Sakari Harnden were charged with open murder instead of kidnapping in connection with the disappearance of a 23-year-old woman in Las Vegas.
This narrative is awful. There truly isn’t another way to say it. I’m glad the Kings didn’t resort to the tried-and-true tactic of “letting the legal process play out,” and instead moved quickly to free Comanche. Even yet, Comanche’s affiliation with Sacramento and Stokcton is sure to damage the franchise’s reputation. Of course, the most significant aspect of this entire issue is by no means how it affects a basketball team.
As the legal process proceeds, it is doubtful that we at the Kings Herald will write on this issue for much longer, but we were compelled to address the matter and offer our condolences to the victim’s family.
Following the discovery of the woman’s remains in a Las Vegas neighbourhood earlier this month, an NBA minor league player and his girlfriend have been charged in connection with the woman’s killing.
On December 5, Marayna Rodgers, a medical assistant from Lynnwood, Washington, who is 23 years old, was in Las Vegas. Her remains turned up in Henderson, a Las Vegas suburb, two days later.

According to the police, Rodgers had scheduled a meeting with her boyfriend, Chance Comanche, 27, and her friend, Sakari Harnden, 19. Comanche used to play basketball professionally for the Sacramento Kings’ minor league club, the Stockton Kings. On December 5, the Stockton Kings visited Henderson.
