BAD REPORT: THE PHILADELPHIA SUPPORTERS BROKENKING, AFTER PHILLIES NLCS LOSS

THE PHILADELPHIA SUPPORTERS BROKENKING, AFTER PHILLIES NLCS LOSS..

We did not want it to happen, and many of our followers are probably still in shock, hoping that Wednesday was a bad dream.

WPVI (Philadelphia) — That was a night of chances lost. The Phillies’ bats simply were unable to perform well against a hungry Arizona side. A devastating Game 7 loss was the ultimate outcome.

The only Game 7 in the team’s history and the opportunity to make a run at the World Series were lost by the Phillies, whose explosive offence fired the city into the postseason.

Tuesday night, Citizens Bank Park was empty as Arizona shocked the Phillies 4-2.

The Diamondbacks were celebrating a trip to the World Series, while the Phillies were made to watch from their home field in South Philadelphia.

We did not want it to happen, and many of our followers are probably still in shock, hoping that Wednesday was a bad dream.

Watch: Following the Phillies’ NLCS Game 7 defeat, a musician performs “My Heart Will Go On” outside Citizens Bank Park.

Arizona had 125 to one odds to win the World Series going into the season. As the Phillies prepare to watch from home, they are riding their Cinderella reputation as they get ready to take on the Texas Rangers.

The Phillies wasted a 2-0 lead in the series and failed twice to win it at home, leaving fans unhappy and exhausted as they left the Bank.

In anticipation of the Phillies making it to the World Series, Philadelphia has been getting ready. They erected barriers around city hall and greased the poles.

Although nobody anticipated it, many believe that we’ll return next year stronger than before.

“Destroyed. We were up 2-0, the talk of the whole sports world, and we just fell apart,” Philadelphian Dan Yeck, of the Fairmount neighbourhood, said.

“I’m furious as hell. This morning is not going well. Not a good day,” West Philadelphia resident Daniel Bouie remarked. “This club, with whom we travelled to the 2008 World Series, was more superior. In general, one might assume that our pitching was superior. It seems like we went to bed on four excellent aces.

They weren’t hitting. Left too many men on base. They didn’t play small ball and just always trying to hit the home runs,” said Dan Kelly, of Bensalem.

We are glad we made it this far since they were the Wild Card,” Lansdowne’s Heather Heim continued. “We obviously would have loved to add them to further but next year.”

As of Wednesday morning, Red October banners were still in place around Centre City, but they will be taken down as the team’s postseason journey draws to a close.

Advice for athletes that suffer from depression

From Red October to feeling down right now.

Supporters could be experiencing a wide range of feelings, including disappointment, annoyance, sadness, anger, and sometimes even nausea.

Dr. Anthony Centore of Thriveworks wrote a blog post for the Anxiety and despair Association of America discussing the frequent experience of sports fan despair.

He gave some advice.

First of all, keep in mind that this is only a game. The majority of your life is unaltered and unchanged, despite the anticipation and excitement around it.

Dr. Centore advises socialising because depressed individuals often isolate themselves.

Then, fill the space. Even if you may have been planned to watch World Series games, you may also watch other sports, including the Union’s opening round of the playoffs on Saturday, or get together with friends and make a trip.

Additionally, Dr. Centore advises followers to be honest about their emotions.

Lastly, just give it time to pass. You might want to think about counselling if your emotions are interfering with your relationships, career, or sleep.

Among the various emotions is hope. There’s always next year, as Philadelphia sports fans are well aware.
