In spite of heavily investing in linebacker and defensive line in recent drafts, Green Bay’s defence ranked 28th in the league in terms of rushing (128.3/game) this season. The Packers’ total yards allowed (335.1) placed them 17th. Undoubtedly, there is space for development.

Jerry Grey, Assistant Head of Falcons
Jerry Grey served as LaFleur’s passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach for three seasons, from 2020 to 22. Since LaFleur’s departure, Grey and he have remained friendly. Grey took a job offer to work as the assistant head coach with the Atlanta Falcons, where he is still employed.

It would be shocking if Grey remained in Atlanta after a change of leadership was officially announced.
In the league, Grey is expected to be a well-liked contender for defensive coordinator. In 2020 and 2022, Grey assisted Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander in earning two Pro Bowl berths. Reuniting with LaFleur and many of the players who still adore him in Titletown wouldn’t be shocking.
Ejiro Evero, the defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers, is being considered by his present team for internal head coaching position. The Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons have also arranged in-person second interviews for Ejero in relation to their respective head coaching openings. Evero will become a highly sought-after candidate for several defensive coordinator openings across the league the moment he doesn’t succeed in landing one of those positions.
