During the summer transfer window, Nottingham Forest expressed interest in signing Michele Di Gregorio, a custodian for Monza. The stopper almost left the Serie A team, according to the agency for the player.
In the summer, Forest put in a lot of effort to increase their goalkeeping staff by two. The Reds were shorthanded as Dean Henderson and Keylor Navas both returned to their own teams.
In the end, Forest was successful in securing two foreign stoppers on long-term contracts. Odysseas Vlachodimos joined from Benfica on the final day of the transfer window, and Matt Turner arrived from Arsenal.

Both players are the number one for their respective countries and as a result, they will both push each other to play regularly. Di Gregorio has spent three years with Monza after initially joining on loan from Inter. He’s made 118 appearances for the club and does look set to play for a bigger club than Monza at some point.
