SO SAD: Following his claims that he was…, the 49ers suspended their running back.

Santa Clara, California. Following a slew of social media postings criticising running back Brandon Jacobs’ lack of playing time, including one over the weekend claiming he was “on this team rotting away,” the San Francisco 49ers banned Jacobs for the last three games on Monday.

On the 49ers, Brandon Jacobs claims he’s “rotting away” in his little position.
About two hours after head coach Jim Harbaugh’s press conference, the 49ers announced the decision, although they gave no reason for Jacobs’ disciplinary action. It’s unlikely that he would come back for the playoffs.

“Thank you all for all your support, I am doing wonderful it’s not a big deal things happen, I am strong enough to get through this,” Jacobs said on Twitter on Monday night. (hash tag) I’ll return.

Even when asked if Jacobs was still with the club, Harbaugh on Monday chose not to respond to the prior remarks made by the player. He said that he was using his “Fifth Amendment” privilege.

The 30-year-old Jacobs has only been in two games for the NFC West-leading Niners (9-3-1) but has gained seven yards on five attempts. He labelled this his “worst” season despite knowing he was entering a crowded backfield that had three-time Pro Bowler Frank Gore as one of the team’s faces. He played his first seven NFL seasons with the New York Giants.

Josh Katzowitz of CBSSports.com points out that Jacobs may have anticipated being able to tote the ball when Frank Gore needed a rest when he agreed to a one-year, $1.575 million deal in March. Kendall Hunter, however, has continued to play backup. More running yards from the signal-caller have also been a possibility for San Francisco since starting quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

He shared many images of himself playing with the Giants in recent days, including one of his two Super Bowl rings side by side.

In an Instagram post on Saturday, Jacobs said, “I am on this team rotting away so why would I wanna put any pics up of anything that say niners.” “This is by far the worst year I ever had, I’ll tell you like I told plenty others.”

Later, Jacobs said the following on Twitter: “I believe people should be upset with me if I didn’t want to play; I am a competitive guy, so I don’t see why people are upset with me. Regarding all of my Instagram photographs, I don’t have any niner images. If you can locate any, I’ll upload them.

Due of a left knee injury he had earlier in the season, Jacobs punches the goal-post padding for around twenty minutes before to games. He has said that this is how he plans to handle the situation.

Jacobs gave advise on Twitter last month, stating that you should never work “in a place where you hate your boss so much, you should always be happy at work” along with the hashtag “YouLiveAndYouLearn.”

The day after he posted, Harbaugh was admitted to the hospital for a minor operation related to an abnormal heartbeat.

After stressing that people shouldn’t “assume” that his comments had anything to do with football, Jacobs tweeted a few more times, the first of which stated, “football is not my life, people,” and the second of which asked, “Have you ever been in a spot and you wonder why are you there?”

He later said that he had implied in his tweets that his brother’s supervisor makes “him feel like he is the best thing since slice bread but when the budget is shot he is the first one get laid off, same with two other people I know.”

The previous season, Jacobs rushed for 571 yards and seven touchdowns while playing for New York as Ahmad Bradshaw’s backup. With 4,849 yards, he is the fourth-leading runner in team history, but he became more resentful as Bradshaw’s rise diminished his position.
