There is no denying Pierce’s popularity in the locker room, and many both within and outside the company thought he had done more than enough to maintain his position.
In order to help the Raiders advance, it will now be up to Pierce and the Raiders to appropriately assemble his team with the ideal coordinators and assistants. Additionally, Pierce has benefited from some assistance during his career from a very powerful individual.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that Pierce will get advice from former New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin, who served as Pierce’s mentor when he was in New York:

Antonio Pierce was elevated to interim head coach after McDaniels was fired and instantly got the best of the roster. Under Piece, Las Vegas vastly improved on defense and nearly made the postseason.
Davis took notice of the job Pierce did and officially named him the team’s next head coach. Once the news broke, players like Maxx Crosby and Marcus Epps celebrated the news via their personal X accounts:
