Greatest News: Bond with Boston: “Second Home to Me,” says a former Celtics star

Former Boston Celtics star Isaiah Thomas appeared on the newest episode of the View From The Rafters podcast and discussed his bond with the city of Boston.

“I needed a opportunity,” Thomas said. “I needed a team to give me an opportunity that I always felt that I deserved. And then the city — not just the organization — but the city I think needed a player like myself, and it just came together. Like you naming all those legendary players that I got to build relationships with and be friends with, and I was only there for two and a half years. You would think I won the championships that the Celtics are known for winning, and the city of Boston is known for winning. But it was just something that you can’t — I guess you can’t describe. Cause my love is the same for the city, it feels like a second home to me.”

Naturally, the C’s shouldn’t feel pressured to make a significant move. Alternatively, companies may use the trade exemption, which enables them to pay up to $100,000 more than the $6.2 million in order to hire someone. While few great players earn less than $6.4 million annually, Boston still has a chance to get someone good.

Prior to the 2023–24 NBA trade deadline, the Celtics have three excellent trade alternatives with Grant Williams’ $6.2 million TPE.

3. The Atlanta Hawks’ Saddiq Bey
The Atlanta Hawks are at a crucial phase right now. They have two options: either stick with their present core or completely blow it up.

Even if holding a fire sale looks more extreme, it could be required. They have almost the same roster as they are 16-23.
