SAD EVENT: Minnesota Vikings Coach Shockingly Arrested For DWI

According to reports, an arrest has occurred among the Minnesota Vikings’ coaching staff. Several arrests have occurred this season involving NFL players and coaches, including New Orleans Saints receivers Michael Thomas and Chris Olave, wide out Justyn Watson. A Vikings coach has been arrested for driving while inebriated.

Wes Phillips, the offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings, was detained on Friday night for misdemeanor driving while drunk. Phillips, the son of former NFL head coach Wade Phillips, informed the organization of his arrest and is slated to play in this week’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

This morning, the team called the NFL and discussed the next steps with Phillips. The NFL has determined that the offensive coordinator will be able to go to Las Vegas with the squad for this week’s game. Phillips is in his 17th season as a head coach in the NFL and his second as the Vikings’ offensive coordinator. He was the tight ends coach for the Los Angeles Rams, who defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl. He is in his second year as a head coach in the NFL and has made a positive impact on the field for the squad.

Minnesota is currently 6-6, good for second place in the NFC North. They will face the Raiders this week in the hopes of securing their division advantage over the Green Bay Packers.
