The best One starter for the Spurs game is listed on the Celtics injury report.
When the Celtics play the Spurs at 7 p.m. on Sunday to wrap up the 2023 portion of their schedule, they will be in much better health. The C’s injury report lists just one starter after they rested three rotation players in their victory over the Raptors on Friday.
Jrue Holiday has a sprained right ankle, making him questionable. Even though he played in the Raptors game, he was also dubious before it. Notably, if not, the Celtics will be playing at maximum capacity. Al Horford, Jayson Tatum, and Kristaps Porzingis will all play after sitting out the game on Friday.
Despite recent rough treatment of the C’s, thankfully no major long-term injuries have occurred. Jaylen Brown’s back contusion from the Lakers game kept him out of the Pistons game. He did, however, suit up for the Raptors game and had a fantastic evening.
In their back-to-back games against the Pistons and Raptors, the Celtics handled business, winning both close contests. They have a 25-6 overall record, which includes a 16-0 record at home.
The Spurs, who are currently last in the Western Conference at 5–26, will be the next opponent for the Celtics. Following his selection as the first overall pick in the previous year’s draft, rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama is averaging 18.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists. He recently finished with 30 points against the Trail Blazers. Other than that, though, the Spurs have had difficulty stringing together wins.
MORE NEWS FROM CELTICS:
For the Boston Celtics and their supporters in 2023, it was yet another exciting year. I asked the employees to list their top moments from the previous year.
Derrick White’s game-winning performance in Game 6 to force Game 7 is my favorite memory of 2023. I saw our ability to rally from a 0–3 deficit to reach Game 7 as a sign that we would return to the Finals. Being in the right place at the right time is embodied in that play in many ways, which is what White brings to the team.

The Grant Williams “Imma make em both” game is my best memory from 2023. The most hilarious basketball moment I’ve ever witnessed has to be when Grant missed the free throws, causing the Cs to collapse in Cleveland.
For me, it was a fairly simple one. recovering from a 3-0 loss to the Heat. That was quite the series, even though I know we couldn’t complete the task. When Derrick White hit the buzzer beater in game six, I started crying.
In the second round of the previous postseason, Jayson Tatum beat the Philadelphia 76ers to set an NBA record for points in a Game 7. Tatum gave us a masterclass in a win-or-go-home scenario for the second straight postseason, and it was made even more enjoyable by the fact that it came against one of the team’s fiercest opponents in the Eastern Conference. I’m excited to watch more of Jayson Tatum during the summer postseason because he showed that he is the player who can bring Banner 18 to Boston.
