Luke Harris’ “next step” in his development, according to Wales Under-21s manager Matty Jones, will be to go out on loan from Fulham.
The 18-year-old played five times under Marco Silva last season and has made two senior appearances for the Premier League team this year.
“In the summer, I know he ca
me really close to a loan move,” Jones stated.
“I think that’s the next step for Luke in terms of getting senior exposure, he’s an unbelievable talent.”

After making a “dream” debut against Gibraltar, Charlie Savage remains with the Wales team.
Harris has participated in a number of senior Wales camps, but Robert Page has not given him a cap due to his withdrawal from the World Cup traveling party last year.
After Wales’ 4-0 victory over Gibraltar in Wrexham, Page released the versatile midfielder and Liverpool loanee Owen Beck so they could play for the under-21s against the Czech Republic in a Euro qualifier on Friday.
After making their senior debuts against Gibraltar, Reading midfielder Charlie Savage and Wycombe center-back Joe Low will both stay with Wales’ senior team for their Euro 2024 qualifying match with Croatia.
The pair were expected to join Harris and Beck in linking up with the under-21s but will provide Page with additional cover given the absences of players including Aaron Ramsey, Brennan Johnson, Ben Cabango and Wes Burns.

Jones’ team maintained its perfect record in Group I with a 3-2 victory against Lithuania after drawing 2-2 with Denmark in their first Euro qualifier.

The Czech Republic, who were defeated 2-1 by Iceland in their most recent match, will present Wales with their toughest test of the campaign, according to Jones.
