O’Connell mentioned working with Dobbs on timing, footwork, and other fundamentals that should help him avoid mistakes and play better. It was worked on during the week off, and the expectation is that it will translate into what the Vikings witnessed in the journeyman’s first two games with the team in addition to Dobbs’ seasoned experience.

But what if Dobbs doesn’t hit the ground running? What if he struggles and the Vikings lose their third straight game? Will the Vikings be willing to put another potential loss on the line during the most crucial stretch of their season?

Well, that’s just my opinion, but they wouldn’t. Nor ought they to. particularly when a healthy Nick Mullens is involved. which he actually is.
