Taylor Swift stepped into the warmth of a private box to cheer on her boyfriend as temperatures dropped to below freezing in Green Bay.
Taylor Swift would not be deterred from seeing Travis Kelce perform on Sunday evening by rain, snow, sleet, or hail. An advisory issued for northeast Wisconsin predicted “heavy to moderate wet snow” through the scheduled kickoff time for the Green Bay Packers’ game against the Kansas City Chiefs that night at open-air Lambeau Field.
According to Sports Illustrated, temperatures in the stadium will range between 28 and 31 degrees, with a windchill factor that will make it feel much colder. Given that, it’s easy to understand why Grammy-winning Packers fan Lil Wayne disputed Packers coach Matt LaFleur’s claims that Taylor Swift would attend tonight’s game in support of boyfriend/Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. “It’s too cold out there for Taylor Swift to come,” the “Green and Yellow” singer said on FOX Sports’ Undisputed. But he was mistaken.
Swift spent her formative years in Nashville, Tennessee, but her earliest years were spent in Pennsylvania. She was raised on a Christmas tree farm, so she’s no stranger to bad weather. Even ESPN NFL reporter Jeff Darlington wondered if Swift would be deterred by the cold, noting that Green Bay police were ready for Swift at Lambeau Field “weather permitting.”
And the weather cooperated., showing her leaving Kansas City on one of her planes and landing in Green Bay shortly after. Swift was joined on the flight by Brittany Mahomes, whose quarterback husband, Patrick, also plays for the Chiefs, according to the Daily Mail.

The singer, dressed in a long red coat, entered Lambeau Field around 6:10 p.m. Green Bay time, according to Yahoo Sports. Swift was spotted a few minutes later from a high vantage point in the stadium, apparently using her phone to record footage of the rapidly falling snow.
Swift’s presence is bad news for Lil Wayne and other Packers fans who had hoped their team, which was already considered the underdog, would beat the Chiefs. When Swift is in the stands, Kelce’s play on the field improves noticeably, as the tight end has acknowledged. Swift has only attended four games so far this season—the most recent being on October 22—and the Chiefs’ record this season is 8-3, so she’s far from the only factor in the team’s success.
However, according to Undisputed host Skip Bayless, to whom Lil Wayne made his Swiftless prediction, her presence at Lambeau could be crucial. “You’ve got a chance,” the commentator said of the 5-6 Packers without Swift in the stands. However, with Swift in the stands, it could be a very cold night in Green Bay.
