BREAKING: Beloved Titans Star Jeffery Simmons Shocks Fans by Terminating Contract and Revealing His Heartbreaking Reason to Leave

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons disclosed that he sustained a Tommy John ligament injury in his left elbow, which sidelined him during the Titans’ 31-12 win over the Miami Dolphins on Monday night.

“I tore my ligament,” Simmons shared. “Most people associate Tommy John surgery with baseball players. I had that type of injury, but I’m doing well now.”

Fortunately, Simmons was told surgery wouldn’t be necessary. Instead, he used a large brace on his left arm last week. Although he missed practices on Thursday and Friday, he still traveled with the team to Miami. On Friday, Simmons informed the Titans’ medical staff he felt ready to play, but the team chose to hold him out of both practice and the game to avoid further risk, given his arm’s limited extension.

The timing of the Titans’ bye week comes as a relief for Simmons, allowing him to focus on recovery and regaining full arm mobility. He has been working closely with the team’s trainers and performing strengthening exercises. Simmons plans to return in Week 6 when the Titans face the Colts at Nissan Stadium.

“I feel a lot better now,” Simmons said. “This bye week is a chance to keep up my conditioning and work on my elbow. I’m confident I’ll be ready for the Colts.”

In the season’s first three games, Simmons tallied 12 tackles, including two tackles for loss, one sack, and a quarterback hit. He revealed the injury occurred due to “friendly fire” during an accidental collision with a teammate.

As Simmons focuses on his rehabilitation, the Titans remain optimistic about his readiness for a strong comeback against the Colts.
