The Houston Texans appear to be the team to watch right now.

Houston announced the signing of veteran cornerback  on Monday. For the time being, King, 28, will join the Texans’ practice squad.

King was an All-Pro selection with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2018, appearing as both a defensive back and a punt returner. He already spent two years with the Texans, from 2021 to 2022, and the first half of the 2023 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

During his final full NFL season in 2022, King had 89 combined tackles, eight passes defended, two interceptions, and two fumble recoveries as a versatile talent who can play both cornerback and safety. The Texans, who are 6-4 this season and on a three-game winning streak, are led by rookie quarterback CJ Stroud, who is leading a serious offensive revival. Now, King is joining the DeMeco Ryans defense on the other side of the ball.

Joey Bosa avoided a major injury despite being injured on Sunday, but that does not mean he will not be placed on injured reserve.

Head coach Brandon Staley of the Los Angeles Chargers told reporters on Monday that Bosa has a sprained foot and will likely be placed on injured reserve.

Once placed on IR, Bosa would have to miss at least four games.
