NBA News: Another Experienced Superstar Commits to Golden State Warriors…

Kevin Durant Declares His Intention to Sign with the Golden State Warriors

On July 1, Kevin Durant became an unrestricted free agent, and a number of championship contenders made an effort to entice the former MVP. On Monday morning, Durant made his decision public.

Kevin Durant, a top NBA free agent, has said he will join the Golden State Warriors.

Following the expiration of his contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Durant reportedly spoke with six teams, including the team he had played for his entire career, to make decisions regarding his future.

With the second pick in the draft, the 27-year-old joined the Seattle Supersonics in 2007 and moved with them to Oklahoma City when they moved there in 2008.

Since the Thunder lost 4-1 to the Miami Heat in the 2012 NBA Finals, he has only been to one NBA Final. With his move to Oakland, he will be a part of one of the league’s most potent lineups.

If the Warriors keep their best players from the previous campaign, Durant, who has averaged 27.4 points per game in his career, will play with Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson. Curry is the NBA’s most valuable player.

Despite having the greatest regular-season record in NBA history (73-9), the Warriors lost to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals last season, even though they had won the championship in 2015. The specifics of Durant’s deal with the Warriors are still under wraps.
