SAD NEWS: Just In Chicago Bulls Basketball Head Coach Billy Donovan Just Announced Top Experienced Star Player Will Leave Due To…….

After DeMar DeRozan entered free agency, the Chicago Bulls transferred him to the Sacramento Kings on July 8.

There are still a number of veterans who disagree with their youth program. To take Zach LaVine or Nikola Vucevic off their hands, they haven’t been able to find a trade partner. Both have a number of years remaining on their lucrative contracts.

Lonnie Walker IV, Chicago Bulls

That does not preclude them from taking further, less drastic actions.

Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report thinks that Lonnie Walker IV, DeRozan’s old teammate, might be a late-round “steal” in the free agency process.

“This front office should prioritize shot-making. Lonnie Walker IV provides a good deal of that, particularly considering that he is a 25-year-old free agent. Although he may fire up quickly, his erratic outside shooting has frequently harmed his efficiency, according to Buckley’s July 18 post.

“He could be a real asset if he could ever harness a consistent three-ball,” wrote Buckley. “He may have to accept minimum pay since he hasn’t done that yet, but whenever he does, he will energize some team’s second unit.”

For the Brooklyn Nets in 2023–2024, Walker averaged 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.
