Joel Allen has an agreement with coach that Worth $79.5 millions to………..

Joel Allen, the head football coach at Point Loma High, is stepping down. Allen, who was hired four years ago to replace longtime coach Mike Hastings, expressed a desire to spend more time with his family. “As many of you may know, I am not just a football coach,” Allen wrote in a letter to the town. “I am also a spouse and parent of three amazing children. My oldest is currently a freshman in high school, while the younger two are discovering their interests in sixth and fourth grades. With their growing and changing interests, I’ve decided to prioritise being present in their lives. These years are fleeting, and I want to savour every beautiful minute.”

In a letter to the players’ families, PLHS principal David Jaffe commended Allen for his services. “During his tenure, Coach Allen has not only led our football team with passion and dedication but has also instilled in our players a commitment to excellence both on and off the pitch,” Jaffe stated. He has led a programme that regularly challenges our players to perform at the top level, cultivating a culture of hard work, discipline, and persistence. Under his direction, our team has experienced success both on and off the pitch, and his coaching staff has played an important role in our student-athletes’ growth and development.

Furthermore, Coach Allen has served as a role model for our athletes, emphasising the need of accountability, not only to the team but also to the entire student body and the community,” Jaffe added. “His commitment to building character and instilling values in our young athletes has made a lasting impact, and we are truly grateful for his dedication to our programme.” Allen emphasised the Point Loma community’s distinct character.

Point Loma High School is more than simply a school; it is a community that values growth, camaraderie, and success. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the coaches who have shared in my successes and endured hardships alongside me,” Allen stated. “To the players who dedicated themselves to the sport, showing resilience and commitment, you have inspired me every step of the way.” Allen also thanked the school administration, teachers, parents, coaches, and community for making his experience “truly unforgettable.” Principal Jaffe will now head a search for Allen’s replacement.

“In light of Coach Allen’s departure, we are now in the process of seeking a new Head Coach for our football programme,” Jaffe stated. “The position will be advertised on Monday, December 4, and the selection process will involve a variety of school and community partners, including our administration, booster representation, and player engagement. We are dedicated to finding a candidate who shares our vision for the programme and will maintain the high standards of excellence that Coach Allen has set.” Allen is PLHS’s fourth head football coach in its 98-year history.
