Indiana’s Jackson County — Gun and drug allegations are said to have led to the arrest of former Boston Celtics point player Rajon Rondo over the weekend. Following an Indiana traffic stop on Sunday, the two-time NBA champion was taken into custody on suspicion of illegally possessing a weapon, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. WDRB-TV
According to the news source, Rondo, 37, was stopped for a traffic infraction in Jackson County, and when a trooper smelt marijuana, his car was searched. A gun and a quantity of marijuana intended for “personal use” were purportedly found during that search. Rondo was traded to the Celtics on draft day after the Phoenix Suns selected him in the 2006 NBA draft.

Former NBA All-Star Rajon Rondo was detained on Sunday for unauthorised possession of a handgun, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana, according to Jason Riley of WDRB-TV, citing court records and an Indiana State Police spokesperson. WDRB-TV reported the following:
Rondo was a 16-year NBA veteran who played for the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans, Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Clippers, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
