The complete list of players taken in the 2024 NFL Draft as…….

Dallas selected Oklahoma offensive tackle Tyler Guyton as the 29th choice in the first round. Guyton, a 6-foot-8, 322-pound offensive lineman, played right tackle at Oklahoma, but the Cowboys anticipate him playing left tackle next season. The Manor, Texas native played at TCU before moving to Oklahoma. Guyton grew raised as a Cowboys fan but is new to football. He played basketball in high school before joining the football squad for his senior year. The offensive lineman will aim to fill the shoes of his lifelong idol, Tyron Smith.

Round two: Marshawn Kneeland, DE – Western Michigan

The Cowboys used their 56th overall pick to target the defensive side of the ball. Marshawn Kneeland, a former two-star high school tight end, transitioned to defensive end and found a home at Western Michigan. Kneeland finished 2023 with 4.5 sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss in 10 games. He will try to replace Dorance Armstrong and Dante Fowler, who both left in free agency.

Round 3: Cooper Beebe, offensive lineman – Kansas State

The Cowboys used their first pick in the third round to return to the offensive line. Cooper Beebe was picked 73rd overall. Beebe has received the Big 12 Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year award for the past two seasons. He played tackle for the Wildcats, but scouts believe he’d be more suited to the inside of the line in the NFL.

If Guyton is not ready to start as a lineman right away, Beebe might play centre or guard and kick Tyler Smith or Zack Martin into tackle. The Cowboys need a centre after last year’s starter Tyler Biadasz signed with Washington this offseason.

Round three: Marist Liufau, LB – Notre Dame

Following Leighton Vander Esch’s retirement, the Cowboys are attempting to shore up their linebacker corps. Liufau is the cousin of Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua and a 2023 Dick Butkus Award finalist. Liufau was one of the draft’s fastest linebackers, and he shed blocks efficiently while with the Fighting Irish.

Round 5: Wake Forest’s Caelen Carson, CB

Caelen Carson expected to be a Day 2 pick, but had to wait until Day 3 to hear from the Cowboys. The 5-foot-11,195-pound Wake Forest cornerback had to skip the Senior Bowl due to a foot strain, but he says he is fully recovered. Carson is now prepared to go pick the brains of the Cowboys’ two interception machines, Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland.

Round 6: Ryan Flournoy, Wide Receiver – Southeast Missouri State

With their 216th overall pick, the Cowboys returned to the offensive side of the ball. Ryan Flournoy caught 118 passes for 1,823 yards and 13 touchdowns during two years at Southeast Missouri State. Will McClay, VP of Player Personnel, stated that Flournay truly stood out during the NFL Combine. The Cowboys see him as a big, fast, and physical receiver with a lot of potential.

Round 7: Nathan Thomas, OT from Louisiana

The Cowboys chose a third offensive lineman in the seventh round. Some expected the 6-foot-5, 334-pounder from Louisiana-Lafayette to be drafted in the fourth round. Stephen Jones emphasised the extraordinary significance in getting Thomas in the seventh. Thomas informed reporters that he is confident in his ability to convert from tackle to guard, which is Dallas’ initial expectation for him.
