Dak Prescott Signed 4-years Contract For $160m With Las Vegas Raiders Today

The bye week has been a time for looking a look in the mirror and asking questions about how the rest of the season should unfold. This edition of News and Notes looks at some of the more pressing unknowns. Like, will the mobile Dak Prescott we saw in Week 6 keep on running moving forward? Will Brandin Cooks be able to build off scoring his first touchdown of the season? Is Jayron Kearse entering his last stretch of games wearing the star? And why is Sam Williams suddenly upset with his coaches?

Elsewhere, we’ll also look at how the Lion’s usage has changed in the absence of the Wolf Hunter, whether the Cowboys could make a move for a player like Derrick Henry, and how Dallas’s chances at a division title and playoff bye look now, after some NFC surprises. We’ll also get to know the four new members of the practice squad and explain why one ex-Cowboy won’t be making the trip when the Rams come to call. All that, plus the long and winding road that brought Will McClay to the No. 3 chair at the world’s top sports franchise.

A look at the Dallas roster following their bye week and the moves that have been made. The new practice squad members, how many elevations remain for each of the 16-man group and the IR return windows for those with serious injuries.

Prescott had seven carries for a team-high 40 yards, including a career-long 18-yard touchdown run in the team’s most recent win. He also covered over 142 yards on sprints and hit his fastest speeds of the season. Will that remain part of the game plan? “We’re very selective with it,” OC Brian Schottenheimer said. “Nobody wants to have the quarterback have to carry it a ton, but again, he has the ability to hurt people with his legs. He’s done that historically. We’re not back to his Mississippi State days in terms of all the carries that he’s used to, but it’s good to show that we have the capability of doing that.”
