Cowboys supporters are uneasy about the odd contract situation involving Dak Prescott’s best friend.
Arlington could be the receiver’s final season.
Compared to other teams, the Dallas Cowboys have one of the more unpredictable offseasons in the NFL because of the contract extensions that Dak Prescott, Micah Parsons, and CeeDee Lamb are negotiating. The top wide receiver in the Lone Star state, though, doesn’t care about the situation.
In light of the fact that Dallas’ optional workout plan begins on April 15 in advance of the team’s training camp, Lamb is optimistic that the talks will result in an amicable resolution.
Lamb intends to continue his independent preparation in order to be prepared for the NFL preseason, and he is not anticipated to attend these early training camps. Lamb told TMZ Sports, “Relaxing, working out, of course,” as stated on the official Dallas Cowboys webpage.
Lamb will be present when the Dallas Cowboys team returns on June 4, regardless of how the discussions go. However, the receiver is adamant that he wants to continue breaking records in Arlington. “Competing and winning. I’m excited to take another shot at it, win, and be there for my boys. I will indeed be in Dallas.” he stated.
The Cowboys are talking with Ezekiel Elliott, a free agent following his one-year deal with the New England Patriots, in addition to Lamb’s contract extension. Prescott’s best partner in 2023 will be Lamb.
559 of the 590 passes that Prescott attempted in the previous season—or 94.6 percent—were to Lamb on routes.
With 133 pass completions in 2023, Prescott and Lamb had the fourth-highest tandem in NFL history. CeeDee Lamb might surpass all other NFL receivers in terms of compensation.
