Michigan State football is working to flip a commit of a fellow Big Ten peer.
Baylor Wilkin of Findlay, Ohio, announced on Monday that he’s received a scholarship offer from the Spartans. He made the announcement via social media platform X.
Wilkin is a three-star offensive lineman in the 2025 class. He is currently committed to Indiana.
Wilkin ranks as the No. 76 interior offensive lineman in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. Other than Michigan State and Indiana, Wilkin also holds notable offers from Cincinnati, Marshall, Central Michigan, Western Kentucky, Navy, Bowling Green, and Ball State.
Indiana football has landed a key commitment in its 2025 recruiting class, securing three-star offensive lineman Baylor Wilkins. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound prospect chose the Hoosiers over offers from Michigan State, Alabama, and other programs. Wilkins’ decision is a significant win for Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti, who continues to build a competitive roster for the future.
Wilkins, a standout from Ohio, brings versatility and strength to the Hoosiers’ offensive line. Rated as a three-star recruit, he has drawn attention for his athleticism, footwork, and ability to dominate in the trenches. His frame and technique make him a promising addition to Indiana’s offensive unit, which has been an area of focus for the team’s recruiting efforts.
His decision to commit to Indiana over Michigan State and Alabama speaks to the program’s growing appeal. While the Spartans were considered a serious contender in his recruitment, Wilkins ultimately saw Indiana as the best fit for his development. The Hoosiers have emphasized offensive line play under their new coaching staff, and Wilkins is expected to be a key part of that future.
Indiana’s 2025 class continues to take shape with Wilkins’ commitment, giving the Hoosiers another high-upside prospect. His combination of size, strength, and agility makes him a valuable asset in the trenches. Wilkins’ ability to play multiple positions on the offensive line adds even more flexibility to Indiana’s roster.
With his pledge secured, Indiana will now look to build around Wilkins and strengthen its recruiting class further. As the Hoosiers aim to compete in the Big Ten, landing players like Wilkins is crucial for their long-term success. His commitment marks another step forward for Indiana football as it works toward becoming a more competitive force in the conference.
