The Denver Broncos put together an impressive regular season in 2024, finishing the year with a 10-7 record.
The Broncos recognized Nix’s historic accomplishment with an announcement on social media. “First rookie quarterback in NFL history to record multiple games with at least 300 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, and a passer rating of 140 or higher.
On Sunday, the Broncos easily defeated the Kansas City Chiefs, the top seed in the AFC, 38-0. Denver punched their ticket to the NFL playoffs with this season-ending victory over the Chiefs’ thin roster.
This Sunday, the Broncos will play the No. 2 seed Buffalo Bills in the wild card round after earning the sixth seed in the AFC.
The outstanding performance of rookie quarterback Bo Nix has been largely responsible for the Broncos’ success this season. The No. 12 overall draft selection from Oregon completed 26 of his 29 pass attempts for 321 yards and four touchdowns in Sunday’s shutout victory over the Chiefs.
This wasn’t the first time Nix accomplished these kinds of numbers in his rookie season. In fact, this Week 18 performance marked the second time he threw for more than 300 yards and four touchdowns in a single game.
His first occasion reaching these marks came when he threw for 307 yards and four touchdowns in a dominant Week 11 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Nix finished his rookie season with 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions on a 66.3 completion percentage. He also rushed for 430 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
On Sunday, Nix and the Broncos will kickoff against Josh Allen and the Bills at 1 p.m. EST from Orchard Park’s Highmark Stadium.
