Breaking News: Kansas State Wildcats in Talks to Sign Two Top Experienced Star Players
Chris Klieman’s capture of what may be his biggest recruit in the Class of 2025 is all the better because the prospect chose the Wildcats over the Jayhawks.
Over the course of the holiday week, five-star recruit Linkon Cure announced his college selection. The native of Goodland, Kansas, went with the purple and white of the Wildcats instead of the red and blue of the Jayhawks.
As a highly recruited tight end in the Class of 2025, Cure had selected Texas A&M, Kansas State, Kansas, and Oregon as his final four options. Cure’s promise is the highest for Kansas State since the 2021 commitment of quarterback Jake Rubley, who was ranked No. 28. The native of Goodland is ranked 64th in the 2025 ESPN 300.
With Ben Sinnott departing the Wildcats this past season, Cure, the No. 2 tight end in the nation, will arrive at a perfect moment. Klieman will be pleased to have a young, gifted tight end joining the team the following season.
The 6-foot-6 prospect will spend the next four years in Manhattan, which is a little over four hours away from his hometown of Goodland, Kansas, a little hamlet on the western side of the state. Cure visited all four colleges on official business, but it wasn’t until he had an intensely emotional chat with Klieman early in the morning on his official tour that Cure decided he wanted to be a Wildcat.
