New York Rangers veteran signs a new contract with the Atlantic Division team
A New York Rangers veteran forward is being targeted by the Atlantic Division team.
Organizations will be examining the remaining free agents in the coming weeks as they finalize their lineups for the 2024–2025 campaign.
Potential offers for professional tryout (PTO) contracts could come for some of these players who are yet unsigned free agents.
The Boston Bruins are thinking about making a PTO contract offer to Rangers forward Blake Wheeler, according to Shawn Hutcheon of The Fourth Period.
The 37-year-old veteran is already acquainted with the Boston Bruins organization, having signed a contract on July 1st, 2008, and playing for the team for his first three seasons until being traded to the Atlanta Thrashers in 2010.
After the Winnipeg Jets bought out Wheeler’s contract, he signed with the New York Rangers last season. Wheeler played 54 games for the Rangers and scored nine goals and twelve assists for a total of 21 points.
