NHL: Bruins’ Marchand signs four-year, $18 million extension
(Reuters) – The National Hockey League (NHL) team announced on Friday that forward Brad Marchand of the Boston Bruins has agreed to a four-year, $18 million contract deal that would keep him with the organization through the 2016–17 campaign.
His contract will pay out $4.5 million a year on average.

In his second full season with the Bruins, Marchand, 24, recorded career highs in goals (28), assists (27), and points (55), playing in 76 games. His 28 goals were second on the Bruins, just ahead of 29 goals from Tyler Seguin.
