According to sources, former NFL Comeback Player of the Year and quarterback for the Browns, Joe Flacco, has finalized an agreement with the Indianapolis Colts. The one-year contract has a maximum value of $8.7 million and a guaranteed $4.5 million. Flacco went to Indianapolis.

The Cleveland Browns, who signed Flacco after starting quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending shoulder injury, saw him play in five games last season. With the Browns, Flacco went 4-1 and advanced them to the postseason; however, the Houston Texans eliminated them in the wild-card round.

The previous season, Flacco had 1,616 yards of passing with 13 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. This was his 16th league season as a quarterback since the Baltimore Ravens selected him with the No. 18 overall choice in 2008. In his first five games as the new team’s quarterback, Flacco made league history by becoming the first quarterback to throw for more than 250 yards and multiple touchdowns.

In his career, the 39-year-old quarterback has thrown for 43,936 yards and 245 touchdowns. He led the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory in 2013. Flacco played one season for the Denver Broncos and three for the New York Jets before joining Cleveland after eleven seasons with the Ravens. His fifth team in the league will be the Colts.

It seems likely that Flacco will support Colts starter Anthony Richardson in the upcoming season. Though Richardson only played in four games last season due to a season-ending shoulder injury, the Colts drafted him out of Florida with the No. 4 choice in the previous draft. During that span, he went 2-2 and completed 7 touchdown passes for 577 yards of passing. With Garrett Minshew taking over for Trent Richardson in Richardson’s absence, the Colts ended the season with a 9-8 record and missed the playoffs for the third consecutive year.
