Breaking: 3 Indiana Fever legends who need their numbers retired immediately

The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) Eastern Conference is home to the Indianapolis-based American professional basketball franchise, the Indiana Fever. Prior to the start of the 2000 season, the team was created. Herb Simon, the creator of Simon Malls, who also owns the Indiana Pacers, the Fever’s NBA rival, is the team’s owner.[5]

Out of their 24 seasons in Indiana, the Fever have made it to the WNBA Playoffs 13 times. The Phoenix Mercury defeated the Fever in game five of the 2009 WNBA Finals, despite the team’s best efforts. The Fever defeated the Minnesota Lynx 3-1 in the series to win the WNBA Finals in 2012. 2012 Finals MVP Tamika Catchings received the honor. The Fever made it back to the WNBA Finals in 2015, but lost to Minnesota in game five.

Tamika Catchings, Katie Douglas, Briann January, Natalie Williams, Yolanda Griffith, Shavonte Zellous, Tully Bevilaqua, Tammy Sutton-Brown, Candice Dupree, Cappie Pondexter, Erica Wheeler, Kelsey Mitchell, NaLyssa Smith, Aliyah Boston, and Caitlin Clark are a few of the players who have contributed to defining the Fever’s history.
