NEWS: Florida Panthers right wing commits to a deal with the Boston Bruins in an NHL trade.
Says Tomas Nosek, “No Hard Feelings” All Set to Join the Florida Panthers
Tomas Nosek said that the Florida Panthers’ playoff performance against his Boston Bruins the previous season was one of the things that lured him to the team as a free agent.
In the first round of the 2023 playoffs, Boston had the best regular season in NHL history and led the series 3-1, but the Panthers won the following three games to progress to the next round.
“When I was playing in Boston [in 2023], we hadn’t lost two games in a row—and then they beat us three games in a row in the playoffs,” Nosek said. I was aware that they were an uncommon group. This year, they proved it by taking home every trophy. I’m happy to be joining these guys since they’re a great bunch of guys. “I am excited to play with the Panthers organization.”
It’s funny that Nosek brought up that series.
One of the more noteworthy incidents from the early parts of the series was his confrontations with the Panthers bench in Game 2.
Nosek’s high hit on Eric Staal in the corner resulted in a heated dispute with Matthew Tkachuk and Ryan Lomberg at the benches, which was captured on film.
