The unique friendship between Shaquille O’Neal and Angel Reese was evident on Sunday during the LSU women’s basketball senior day ceremony.
In the early 1990s, O’Neal, a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, led Reese and her mother onto the court at the ceremony on Sunday.
Shaq and last year’s Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Tournament first met at an LSU football game. The two LSU basketball stars have since gotten closer, with O’Neal acting as a mentor to the up-and-coming player.
