Breaking: 2 Broncos Veterans On Expiring Contracts Listed as Trade Candidates.

Could the Broncos’ next big move be just around the corner?

Are the Broncos ready to make a significant trade?

If the Denver Broncos so desired, they still had time to make a few significant acquisitions before the 2024 NFL Season. How much longer will it be before one fails? Another source claims that the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos are involved in some transaction related to wide receiver Courtland Sutton.

Is this the only move the Broncos and Steelers will make in the near future? Here’s what the Bleacher Report recently said about it:

Green Bay Packers v Denver Broncos

This summer, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been a sought-after destination for fictitious wide receiver transactions. When Van Jefferson is positioned to be your offense’s second wide receiver, that’s what occurs.

Brandon Aiyuk is the most sought-after trade target in such speculative maneuvers. With a public contract dispute involving the top receiver in the NFL, the Niners wide out, Pittsburgh has the cap room, selections, and need to make a move.

However, Aiyuk is not the only receiver whose contract circumstances can lead to a move. Courtland Sutton and the Denver Broncos are engaged in a standoff of their own.

Sutton participated in the required minicamp and has allegedly worked out informally with quarterback Jarrett Stidham of the Broncos. Coral Smith of NFL Media said that Sutton hasn’t ruled out becoming a camp holdout in the event that contract talks fail to result in a new agreement.

The Broncos have a little window of time until camp begins.

The offense is already changing after Jerry Jeudy was traded for draft selections. It could be wise for both parties to press the reset button and come to an agreement on a trade if the Broncos are unwilling to satisfy Sutton’s financial demands.

If so, the Steelers need to be the first team calling to see if they can assemble a far superior offense around quarterback Russell Wilson in 2024.”

Seeing if Courtland Sutton might hold out during training camp is fascinating. Personally, I could see a trade happening in this scenario, and it is difficult to think of a better place for Sutton to end up than the Pittsburgh Steelers, who clearly want to stick with Russell Wilson for at least one season and have a desperate need at wide receiver.

During the 2023 NFL Season, Sutton and Wilson connected for a ton of amazing plays; Sutton finished with a career-high 10 touchdowns. Wilson, a thrower who has excelled at the deep ball throughout his career, does still have it in his back pocket. George Pickens is a fantastic deep ball receiver for Pittsburgh, so why not add another one?

The wide receiver position on the Denver Broncos could be stuck, and Courtland Sutton’s transfer might alleviate some of it.
