DE for the Cleveland Browns A recent ESPN survey names Myles Garrett as the NFL’s top edge rusher.
Myles Garrett, a defensive end for the Cleveland Browns, topped the rankings of the NFL’s top edge rushers in a recent survey, just as he does on the football field.
Garrett moved up to the top slot, most likely as a result of winning the league’s Defensive Player of the Year award the previous season. Garrett was ranked No. 2 among rushers in an ESPN survey of executives, coaches, and scouts.
When one anonymous NFL coordinator stated, “He’s going to f—ing kill you if you don’t double team him,” it was probably speaking for the whole league.
Browns news: Myles Garrett, a prominent player, aspires to win the Lombardi Trophy and is in possession of the DPOY award.
Garrett was voted in first place with 70% of the total votes.
It is impossible to measure Garrett’s influence on games only through numbers. Despite the fact that he has accumulated 46 sacks over the previous three seasons, opponents are forced to account for him on every play and frequently design their game plans around him because of his presence on the field.
Garrett replaces Nick Bosa, the former Ohio State Buckeyes standout and No. 1 defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers from the previous season, who fell to No. 4.
T.J. Watt, a defensive star for the Pittsburgh Steelers, comes in behind Garrett at No. 2, a spot that is sure to spark as much controversy as Garrett’s choice as the league’s DPOY over the leading sacks leader did the previous season.
